The Museum of Islay Life is a true gem. With interesting displays & collections of stories, books & photographs from various periods through the life of the island, you’ll be in for some interesting surprises.
Port Ban Beach
A great place for anyone who wants a secluded, beautiful beach experience. The water is a picture-perfect shade of turquoise and the sand white. It's perfect for both young folks and families alike!
Bruichladdich Distillery
Take the Bruichladdich tour and witness the traditional Victorian-era machinery working in all its glory. Whisky lovers who have a particular fondness of the old techniques will appreciate getting a behind the scenes view of the iconic malt’s production.
Round Church
This little church is an Islay landmark. Folklore tales suggest the unique, circular design was intended to prevent the devil from hiding in the corners and causing trouble.
Dunuvaig Castle Ruin
Dunyvaig is one of Scotland's oldest castles. Although at one time it would have been a high and imposing structure, only a fragment still stands. Despite this, Dunyvaig is still a truly romantic sight with mesmerising views over Lagavulin Bay that you won't want to miss.
Three Distilleries Pathway
For lovers of peated Islay whisky, a glorious walk linking the famous distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg, could be the highlight of their Islay trip.
The Tour Islay ticket is the easiest and most affordable way to get around the island, see all of its sights from some amazing viewpoints and really experience what it's like living on one of Scotland’s most famous islands.

For over 35 years, Islay Coaches have helped island residents and visitors to travel around Islay. We take great pride in the role we play in our community; helping people get to where they need to be so they can experience the island unrestricted.
Up until recently, we only offered single tickets going from A to B which have worked great for locals. For tourists though, buying a new ticket for every journey was a bit cumbersome. That's why we launched the Tour Islay ticket making it easier and more affordable for visitors of the Island to get around and see the best attractions all for just £20.
